The Power Of Accountability

It is hard to see every blind spot in your own work. Other people can help you notice what you miss and keep a commitment when your motivation fades.

The original episode explored why personal growth is rarely a solo effort. We can make excuses to ourselves, especially when a task feels difficult or uncertain.

Ask For Clear Feedback

Find a person who understands your goal and will be honest with you. Show them a real draft, plan, or result. Ask what is clear, what is missing, and what they would change.

Make The Commitment Specific

Say what you will do and when you will check back. “I’ll finish the first draft by Friday” gives someone something concrete to ask about.

Stay Open To What You Hear

Feedback can be uncomfortable. You do not have to accept every suggestion, but you can use it to test your assumptions and improve your next step.

Accountability works best when it helps you act, learn, and keep moving.
